What is Satsang

SATSANG

Satsang is a Sanskrit word meaning ‘to be in the company of truth’. Traditional  Satsang  involves an awakened teacher giving a spiritual discourse and answering questions on the way of obtaining enlightenment.  Satsang is different to any course or lecture because the energy field around an enlightened person allows for clarity, stillness, and expanded awareness to be experienced by those who seek their presence.

WHAT IS THE SEEKER?

The seeker is in search of truth and wisdom. This longing or thirst to understand and experience something beyond the mind and the mundane world inspires the seeker to question everything they have ever learned. They are interested in looking deeply at their own programming and processes, and in becoming present to the moment through meditation and mindfulness practices. They are ultimately seeking enlightenment.

WHAT IS ENLIGHTENMENT?

Enlightenment is obtained when the awareness that is aware of the mind becomes aware of its self in an ongoing way.

THE ART OF BEING HAPPY

Humans are naturally buoyant unless they are weighed down with too much thought. When we were little children, we could be happy for no reason at all.

Now as adults we are constantly seeking things to make us happy. To find happiness again we must learn to let go and to live in a state of acceptance of what is.

Satsang is about pointing to the truth that you are and helping remove any obstacles that may be in the way of living as that.
