ABOUT THIS EVENT
Stretch, Strengthen, Stabilise, and release Stress with this 4-week Pilates beginners’ course while coming deeply into the present moment at Restful Waters.
This course has been designed to introduce and familiarise you with the key 6 principles of Pilates: Breath, Centering, Control, Concentration, Precision and Flow. Experienced instructor Tracy will guide you with kindness and care through the foundational movements of Pilates so you feel comfortable and at ease to attend weekly classes.
In Pilates you are encouraged to continually connect with the breath as you engage in the movements and to bring your awareness into the body by using the deep stabiliser muscles. Throughout the course you’ll discover Pilates is an amazing tool to develop flexibility and mobility and to condition deep stabiliser muscles to help you create a stable and balanced body.
It is through the slow, precise and mindful movements of Pilates you will activate and align your body systems, leaving you feeling regenerated and refreshed.
This course is suited for beginners and for those who may be experiencing discomfort or pain in:
- Neck and shoulders
- Lower back
- Tension Headaches
It is also recommended for anyone who:
- Sits at a desk all-day
- Works out regularly at the gym
- Engages in physical manual labour
As part of the course, you will receive a Theraband (resistance band) which will assist with flexibility and mobility of joints as the Pilates classes progress.

ABOUT THE TEACHER
Tracy is a passionate Pilates, movement and meditation enthusiast with a preventative and holistic wellness approach. She believes in nurturing both the mind and body through a healthy lifestyle.
Tracy is a Diploma qualified APMA (Australian Pilates Method Association) Practitioner since 2003 and has been working with a range of people, pathologies and injuries. She has experience in movement for rehabilitation and has assisted people wanting to improve their strength and conditioning for sport. Tracy had a break from Pilates in 2007 so she could pursue her interest in Personal Training (Cert IV in Fitness), Health Coaching (Institute of Integrative Nutrition and Heal Thy Self Academy) and Life Coaching. In 2019 she returned to Pilates and now teaches across 3 Perth Studios in a private, semi-private and group style setting.
