ABOUT THIS EVENT

Staying calm and having high energy levels is difficult in our fast-paced world. It is, however, possible to find peace in the chaos, and have a deeply relaxing life.

Finding time for self-care with such heavy demands on our time, often seems unachievable… we totally get it.

We also know that investing time into a yoga practice that teaches mastery of the nervous system allows one to stop burning up so much energy on stress, so effectiveness can increase during times of productivity.

Slow mindful yoga can be a great tool for cultivating calmness inside and outside of a session, as well as being an opportunity to gently stretch out tired and tense muscles for a more agile body.

In this course, you will do gentle breath-focused movement and meditation and practice techniques that will wind you down after a busy day and create the conditions for a deep restful sleep. Nicki incorporates her training in Kundalini, yoga therapies and movement studies to create a unique class with asana, Kriya Yoga and a lovely relaxing gonging to finish the sessions.

Learn how to pay attention to the messages your body is giving you and nourish and create resilience in your nervous system. This class is suitable for complete beginners to yoga, as well as people who have done yoga before.

About your instructor Nicki Walters:

Nicki has been practicing yoga for 30 years and teaching for 10. Qualifications:

  • BEd (Hons) Movement Studies
  • Level 1 Kundalini Research Institute yoga instructor
  • Yoga for Paincare Australia Level 1 Practitioner
  • Yoga for Arthritis, Yoga for Pelvic Pain, Children’s Yoga and Pregnancy Yoga

Yoga Teacher

A degree qualified former dancer and choreographer, Nicki retrained as a yoga teacher in 2010 and specialises in slow mindful yoga for people with persistent pain. Nicki is a passionate advocate for the benefits of yoga and meditation in creating a resilient and strong body, mind and spirit.
